Role Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Assistant Retail Manager to support the day-to-day running of our store. The successful candidate will help oversee retail operations, assist in managing staff, drive sales, and ensure excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Customer Service:
- Assist customers with product enquiries, repairs, upgrades, and purchases.
- Drive in-store sales by promoting devices, accessories, and repair services.
- Handle customer complaints or returns professionally and efficiently.
- Maintain strong knowledge of mobile devices, trends, and technical specifications.
Store Operations:
- Support the Store Manager in opening/closing procedures, cash handling, and daily reporting.
- Help manage inventory, including stock ordering, tracking, and merchandising.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming retail environment.
- Ensure repair jobs are logged, tracked, and delivered within agreed timescales.
Team Supervision:
- Assist with supervising and training retail and technical staff.
- Allocate daily tasks and ensure team members meet service and sales targets.
- Motivate staff to deliver excellent customer service and achieve store goals.
Administration & Compliance:
- Assist in record-keeping, invoicing, and maintaining sales and repair logs.
- Ensure store complies with health & safety and data protection standards.
- Liaise with suppliers and service providers when needed.
Person specification:
- Proven retail or customer service experience (mobile or tech industry preferred)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and lead by example in a fast-paced retail setting
- Good IT literacy and knowledge of POS systems
- Passion for mobile technology and staying up to date with new releases
- Experience in managing repairs or technical services is a plus
